Product Review – MTR Rava Idli Mix

MTR Rava Idli Mix gives you a wholesome breakfast in just a few minutes. The ingredients you need to prepare these yummy cakes are very simple. It just takes about 15 minutes to cook these nice fluffy idlis. Relish it with your favourite chutney, sambar or a leftover curry from last night’s dinner. On the whole MTR, Rava Idli Mix is an excellent product to get a healthier breakfast for the busy morning hours. Semolina (Rava) has its own health benefits. It ensures your body gets the right amount of carbs and nutrients for an energetic day ahead. It is high in protein and low in fat. 

Let’s start cooking and have a look at the ingredients first –


  • 1 cup of MTR Rava Idli Mix
  • 1 ½ Cup of Sour Curd
  • 2 tsp of oil to grease Idli Pan

Preparation –

  • Take 1 cup of MTR Rava Idli Mix in a bowl.
  • Add ½ cup of Sour Curd to it, mix well and let it rest for a minute.
  • Now add 1 cup of sour curd, mix it well and let it rest for 2 minutes.
  • For better results whisk the batter with an egg beater to remove lumps and fluffier idlis.
  • Grease idli pans with oil, pour the batter and place them in a preheated idli steamer. To preheat idli steamer add 1 ½ to 2 cups of water to the steamer and let it boil on medium flame.

Tip – Add some grated carrots and some chopped coriander and cashews to the batter for extra flavor.
